Meet Dr. Melian
Dr. Melian founded Autumn Acupuncture & Apothecary out of a desire to create a space where Eastern and Western medicine work together to produce meaningful, lasting healing. Her approach is rooted in evidence-informed Chinese medicine, with a particular focus on orthopedic and sports acupuncture—helping people recover from pain, injury, and movement-related dysfunction so they can return to their lives stronger and more resilient. Nicole holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Biology (pre-med track) from Stony Brook University, a Master of Science in Acupuncture from Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York City, and a Doctorate in Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science. This extensive academic background allows her to bridge classical Chinese medicine with modern anatomical, neurological, and biomechanical understanding. Dr. Melian’s clinical specialty is orthopedic acupuncture and sports medicine, where treatments are precise, results-oriented, and designed to support both acute injuries and chronic pain patterns. While orthopedics is at the core of her practice, she also treats a wide range of conditions including stress, anxiety, nervous system regulation, fertility support, and overall wellness—always tailoring care to the individual rather than a diagnosis alone. Autumn Acupuncture & Apothecary is intentionally designed as a safe, inclusive, and affirming space for healing, while maintaining a strong clinical foundation. Treatments are thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that the body has an inherent capacity to heal when given the right support. When she’s not in the office, Nicole can be found hiking throughout New England with her husband, young son, and dog—or enthusiastically celebrating Halloween year-round.
